Hampton Lake
Hampton
Lake is on of Bluffton’s newest communities and the
first lake community in the area. Successful local
developer John Reed believed that Bluffton had enough
golf courses for now, so he decided to make a 165-acre
freshwater lake the centerpiece of his newest 906-acre
community instead of two championship golf courses.
The result is a community unique to Bluffton that
features freshwater boating and fishing. The Lakeside
Amenity Village is now open with a large lagoon-themed
swimming pool, separate pool for adults only, the
Fitness Central spa and exercise center, the
boathouse, casual restaurant and outdoor bar, lakeside
beach and a camping area. You don’t have to give up
golf to live at Hampton Lake. You can join any of
several nearby golf clubs with Hampton Hall next door
and accessible by golf cart.
Homes at Hampton Lake begin at about $370,000 for
villas. Cottage and coach homes with 2,100 to 3,400
square feet range to about $550,000. Custom homes are
priced from $600,000 to $1.3 million. Wooded homesites
start from about $190,000 and waterfront sites from
about $300,000. Most lakefront homesites will
accommodate boat slips that can be constructed for an
additional cost.
Hampton Lake is on the new Bluffton Parkway just 15
